Kirby's Epic Yarn

Here it is, my first-ever request. Hope you like it.

Kirby's Epic Yarn is the 10th Platform title in Nintendo's series starring Kirby, the hero
of Dreamland.

I don't have any references to back it up, but I don't think "Epic" and "Yarn"
ever went into the same sentence in history, let alone a video game title. Does
the game back up its claim of awesome, or is it merely false advertising? Let's
find out.

Disney's Epic Mickey

Hey folks, I know it's been a while since my last review. My apologies. The
holidays and my day job are trying to keep me down. Well, take this, THE MAN.

This is a game I've wanted to try since I first heard about it so long ago.
Mainly because I thought it would be so dumb that I would be able to mock it
ceaselessly like I do with World of Warcraft.

Medal of Honor

Alright folks, here it is. A look into the FPS that looks to take over Modern Warfare's crown.

Before I begin, I'd like to make two points, for you fanboys.

A) Being a Call of Duty game doesn't make it good. Put the Kool-Aid down.

B) NOT being a Call of Duty game doesn't make it bad. Grow up and think for yourself.

And yes, I know I said I have zero respect for EA. But I was interested in the game before EA copped out, so I agreed to give the game itself a fair crack.

So here we go, my review of Medal of Honor.

Metroid: Other M

This is one I've been wanting to do for a few weeks now, and I'm finally getting around to it.
Before I get into that, though. Let me explain how my scoring system works.
I grade games on a 20-point scale, rating four different aspects to a game on a 5-point scale, with the sum of each score adding up to the final score.
Here's a general guideline for the 5-point scale for the four aspects.
0-1 = Horrible
2-3 = Decent/Passable
4-5 = Good/Excellent/Perfect, etc.

So naturally, a good way to see the final score is this:
0-5 = Don't even bother. This game is on a level of fail comparable to Jack Thompson's career.
6-10 = You might play this game out of sheer morbid curiosity, or it falls into your niche, but not enough to keep you hooked.
11-15 = Good game, definitely worth a rental, or buy it pre-owned at Gamestop or something.
16-20 = Perfect/Near-perfect masterpiece, definitely worth your hard-earned money.
Without further ado, here's my unbiased, objective review of Metroid: Other M.

America... F*** No!!!

Did you also hear that EA is marketing its own clothing line?
Yeah, one of the features is that it automatically folds.

Yeah, EA isn't doing anyone any favors this time. I officially have zero respect for them.

Howdy folks!

Hello there. Either someone told you about this place, or you stumbled on it by accident. Either way, stay awhile and listen. Or don't. It's totally up to you. (STAY, OH DEAR GOD, PLEASE STAY!)

I review games here. This is my honest, objective opinion. My opinions of games aren't clouded by fanboyism or bias toward or against any particular platform (I pretty much have them all, from current and previous generations), developer, publisher, or particular individual in the game industry. (Editor's note: If I were gay, I would totally give myself to Shigeru Miyamoto).

I hope this turns out to be a success, and I hope people are interested in knowing what games really are good (Like Pikmin, Demon's Souls, and Lost Odyssey), and which games really are @#$%ing horrible. (Superman 64, Dragon Blade: Wrath of Fire, and World of Warcraft).

Naturally, you can feel free to disagree with my views. I won't judge you. There's nothing wrong with being horribly misguided and mistaken. It's okay. I understand.

I'll even sweeten the pot here. If you're not sure on a game, and want me to review it, shoot me a line at grifsgamereviews(at)gmail(dot)com. If you're lucky, I'll pick your game and give it my full, unbiased review. You can pick pretty much any game you want, but be advised that there's some that I just don't have the power to acquire. So please, be reasonable.

So without further ado... Read on, dear, uhhh... Reader!
